GDPR-Friendly Websites: Cookie Banners, Fonts and Forms Done Right
German businesses face some of the strictest privacy rules in the world. These are the technical details we get right on every website we build.
A good brief doesn't need to be long. Five short answers are enough for an agency to give you a realistic plan and price — here's what to include.
Have you ever asked three agencies for a quote and received three prices that were thousands of euros apart? Usually that's not because someone is overcharging — it's because each agency imagined a different project. A short, clear brief fixes that. It doesn't need to be a 20-page document; five good answers are enough.
Two or three sentences about your company and your typical customers. “We're a cleaning company in Berlin serving households and small offices” tells us more than a long company history.
Start with the problem, not the solution. “We get almost no enquiries through our website” or “Our customers can't find information in their language” helps us suggest the right solution — which might be different from what you initially had in mind.
Be as concrete as you can: more booking requests, more registrations, fewer phone calls with the same questions, a site your team can update without help. Clear goals make it possible to measure results later.
Many people hesitate to share a budget, but a range is one of the most useful things you can give us. It lets us recommend what's realistic instead of guessing — and if a deadline matters, such as a launch event or a registration period, mention it early.
Do you have a logo and brand colours? An existing website with Google rankings you want to keep? Texts and photos, or do you need help with content? Any sites you like — or dislike — as inspiration?
Saying what you don't need — an online shop, a mobile app, a blog — is just as valuable as listing what you do.
We turned these questions into a short form that takes about three minutes to fill in. Send us your brief and we'll get back to you within two business days.
